Family planning often includes adding square footage to an existing home. This project began with a small galley kitchen off of a fairly large backyard — we were able to create a plan that added 125 square feet, bumping out and opening up their kitchen to the backyard and dining room; all within the existing architectural integrity.

I brought in Hilla Bitton of Hilla Bitton Interior Design to partner with me on this job. We worked together to fulfill all the necessary construction documents, structural engineering coordination, and details, to ensure we had a sound plan and also to receive approved permits from the City. We are very proud that this mid-size budget addition was able to produce a high-end result, with room for their family to grow. Since we finished this project, our clients became the happy parents of twins!
